I have a 27" new iMac and the screen was chipped on the side (due to slipping, they are rather heavy and awkward to carry).

Should I replace the whole screen?
Should I somehow get it filled?

It's not that big of a chip but it's lost it's shiny-ness.

Just looking for anyone that has been through the same situation and wanting opinions.

Can't say I have been in the same situation, but that does suck.
Since these iMacs are really new, not many places just offer 27" iMac glass covers for sale, so you can't really go get a new one and replace it yourself.

Apple will most likely not fix it since it's so minor and you did it yourself.
But you could call and ask how much it would cost for them to replace it and just pay for it.

I don't know if there's a way to fill it, but you might wanna do a little more research on that.
