hello mac community !

i want your advice on the following issue I have with my Imac I3 3,2ghz I3 2tb hitachi hd

I notice my computer is making a noisy noise constantly, the hd is grinding but that's not really a problem,
it's a noise like something is running and i hear it.
the thing is that each time I ask him something that need a little more power more than daily task the fans runs at full speed.
for example this morning i recorded a mix from dj studio pro. and after then big noise.

I think the hardrive is old and need a replacement or the inside is really dusty. I am planning on opening it up cleaning the dust off. and probably changing hd

do you think it's possible this constant noise is coming from the hd? temperature problem because of dust?

too old computer?

let me know
