I just got my 27 inch i5 imac, and I am pretty pleased with it.
However there are a couple of issues:
There is what seems to be a single bad pixel. Testing with LCD test it shows up as a bright spot only against a black background, I can see no problem on white, red, green or blue.
So the technical question for you techies out there is what is the underlying issue in terms of the transistors etc, is this "dead" or "stuck"?
Looking around these sort of issues seem to be quite common, should I kick off and demand a replacement? My feeling is that given the frequency of these small defects I am best just keeping my unit.
Other thing I had noticed was a crazy sparking usb port. When connecting a usb cable there were visible white sparks, is this all part of the apple aesthetic? or a fault?
Thanks for listening......
