iMac 27'' i7 for post-production

Hi guys, i'm new in mac's and now i use a PC. My question is that: this iMac will be enough powerful for my objectives?
They are editing full HD with Final Cut Pro and some work with After Effects.

Depends on your objectives, as just editing HD is not enough information to go by.

But in short, the current iMacs are capable of editing HD footage, unless you use Pro Res uncompressed.

Shouldn't be any issues. All Macs can handle editing fine, the question is how fast. iMacs are the second fastest Macs anyway
