iMac 27" i7 Mid 2010 ATI 5750 Windows drivers

Hi,

Which drivers do I need to use to update the drivers on my Imac 27".

Little info:

Imac 27" 2.93Ghz i7 mid 2010 model
Windows XP Service Pack 3 (32-bit)
ATI Radeon 5750 w/ 1GB DDR5 RAM.

If someone could get me the drivers for the best performance, it would be much appreciated!

Just get the latest ones off the AMD site.

Not sure if the 5750 is a mobile chip? If so, you need Mobility Modder to convert the drivers into mobile versions. Then install through Device Manager > Update driver.

No mobility modder needed. Just to go amd's site and download the latest mobility drivers off their site. The 5750 is the mobility 5850.

Aye, XP is really getting long in the tooth now.

I think that if you want to game on the iMac, 64bit Windows 7 with bootcamp and the mobility drivers, with a small overclock on the GPU is the way to go.

I have done about 14 benchmarks on my youtube channel with mobility drivers10.8 and will be trying 10.11 tonight.

I still can't believe how good the imac is for gaming though! NFS: Hot pursuit at 60fps max settings looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the demo on my 360!

Most of us have iMac's for productivity, but sure is a nice bonus to play "HD" versions of my console games.

If the new drivers have any different FPS I will update my channel.

The good news for the op is that I havn't noticed any performance improvements at all when upping my iMac's default windows drivers to the latest mobility drivers.

Very good news if using XP!

Will the bootcamp drivers support MSI afterburner? Sometimes driver updates are needed for specific games, like NFS Hot pursuit that doesn't support AA without a hotfix driver.

So whilst performance may/maynot be improved, compatabilty remains an issue that will only get worse with time.

I'd still prefer Win7 and Mobility drivers, but fully understand that might not be practical for all.

I'm not sure about xp, but I do know windows 7 supports afterburner. I use it to overclock my mobility 4850 from time to time.

Anti-aliasing can also be enabled in catalyst control center for most games.

Has anyone found a way to update the ATI drivers in Windows XP yet? Like the OP you just get that page on the AMD/ATI site that points you back to the manufacturer...grrrr...

Trying to play the beta for Rift and the game has known issues with this driver that ships with Bootcamp (and it shows...horrible video performance in game and lots of tearing). Need to find a way to get these drivers updated...
