The 20" iMac with a C2D CPU with 2GHz, bought in 2007, can play COD4:MW just fine, thus the i3 iMac from last year should be able to play COD too.

Don't forget the much higher resolution of the 27" display. It takes a beefy video card to drive it well.

It will play both games though I wonder how well. A 5670 mobility card isn't very good. You won't be playing wow at high settings. My guess is probably at low. I got my mom a 2010 21" imac with the 4670 and even at that lower resolution I have to run it at medium settings to get acceptable framerates.

Rabbit,

Your question is kind of moot because unless you are looking at the buying a refurb machine, the specs you are looking at are going to get a bump when the iMac refresh comes out. Expect sales of the new iMacs within three weeks of tomorrow.

I run WoW at medium settings on my 24" Early 2008 iMac. I assume there would be no trouble even on the 27" monitor using the current components and even less of an issue with the whatever they are announcing for this new generation.
