that can customize this besides Apple Store? I was thinking of saving some on the Tax portion of 8++%.... BTW is a 1TB drive better or the 2TB or does anyone know what is the manufacturer of the drive. As I know most of the 2TB performance is way off from the 1TB Black Editions.

As far as I know the only difference is the capacity. If it's going to save you a lot, go with the 1tb. After all, you can always add external or network storage later.

I am not sure if anyone else sells 2tb preinstalled, but I'd imagine any repair shop could upgrade you, possibly without voiding the warranty if they are a certified shop.

the 2TB hard drive will perform a lot better then the 1TB drives. they are most likely going to be Western Digital drives - but this can change depending on the batch that you get.

Or you can just order a Refurb i7 and possibly get a 2TB for free when you thought you were getting a 1TB. It just happened to me. Mine is a 2TB Hitachi.
