iMac 27-inch i7 Slowing Down

I'm having a small issue with my new 27-inch i7... It has 8 gigs of RAM but still seems to slow down after prolonged use... Overheating, maybe?

I noticed the performance drop while editing on Adobe Premiere Pro. Been editing for about 7 hours straight now... I guess I should give the poor thing a rest, but shouldn't it be tougher than that?

Install iStat Pro and tell us the temperatures/ ram usage.
