Today my internet stopped working for no reason. Well, It still works with WiFi - but not with my cable.

I'm on OS X El Capitan 10.11.3

I tried deleting "Ethernet" in Network Settings, I when i tried to add it again, There was no "Ethernet" option to choose.

I went to System Information / Hardware information and checked "Ethernetcable", It says i have no PCI-card with Ethernet installed.

Can it be fixed?

Try to Reset SMC and Reset PRAM to see if it helps.

Maybe try going to /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and deleting the preferences.plist and Networkinterfaces.plist and restarting so it builds new.

How strange: i have the exact same problem today!
Resetting the SMC and PRAM didn't help, nor did deleting /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and deleting the preferences.plist and Networkinterfaces.plist.

The AppleKextExcludeList_10_11.pkg did not help. Is there anything that needs to be done other than run the installer?
