Well, I got in my new iMac 27" 2.93Ghz with 256GB SSD + 2TB drive.
I got all my stuff migrated over which took about 5 hours and then used it for three hours then it kernel panic'ed and wouldn't boot thereafter unless in safe mode. I took it in to the Apple Store and the genius there ran a bunch of tests and it came up clean for him but after a couple hours working on it he couldn't get it to boot up. His theory was that the SSD was flakey but he wasn't sure. So he had me send it back to Apple.
I thought maybe he'd be able to send it back himself but instead I had to take it home and ship it back myself which was sort of annoying. Also, they won't send a replacement until they receive the old iMac, so between the shipping both ways looks like I will be without a computer for a couple weeks.
Very annoying.
Does having ProCare expedite this annoyance (for future knowledge)? I had AppleCare with the machine but not ProCare.
