Since Apple doesn't sell that screen as a standalone 27 inch monitor, please let me know if you find the equivalent elsewhere ;)

Colors are beautiful and it's super sharp, ie makes photos look absolutely gorgeous. Glossy helps too ;)

Cool! It's nice to see a positive iMac message for a change. Enjoy yours!

yup, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that got a perfect 27'' iMac on my first try. it's just a thing of beauty.

I can say the same, my 27inch imac is perfect, no flickering, no yellow tinge, no clicking or humming hard drive and the screen is amazing and had it 5 weeks and still no problems

The 27" has close to the same resolution as the 30", making the 30" soon an EOL.

PREDICTION: the 27" will be a stand alone on 2010.
PREDICTION: the 24" will get a refresh or drop in pricing in 2010.

For the same price, I'd rather have 2x24" than 1x27"

To the OP, congrats.

Oh, I dont own one yet :(

I spent an hour at the Apple Store playing with it. Makes it incredibly hard not to pull the trigger , but I'm waiting for Core I7 refurbs to show up on the store (with the massive returnage going on, there's bound to be some eventually!!)

I don't think that you'll be able to buy an i7 in the Apple Store, as these are custom-built. You'll need to purchase one online. My wife gave me an i5 for Christmas, but it got returned (I didn't even open it) as I'm going to get an i7. Hopefully within the next few weeks all of these initial problems we're seeing with the 27" screens will get resolved.
