imac 27inch

hi there....brandnew 27 inch i5 imac...there is NO airport card? the system detects it, but there is no way to choose it, turn it on or activate it...
any hints?

there is NO airport icon in the menu...and there is NO airport to find in the network settings....
bought it online, refurbished store....

Where have you bought it? Does the "Turn AirPort On/Off" via the Menu Bar (AirPort icon) or System Preferences > Network > AirPort function not work?
Can you be more specific?
