Iam hearing rumors of a possible 28inch imac, do you think this rumor will likely come through and when would it be out, is it do you think a ridiculous size for an imac, as the 24inch is the perfect screen size, the reason I would like to know this is because Iam currently deciding on a gaming pc or an imac

imac 28inch - is it a possibility?

That is just rumour without any backup so it's very unlike to see it. Biggest problem will be the resolution, it has to be over 1600p. Second thing is price. Would cost like 3000$ so more than Mac Pro and no buyers for that (you can get Mac Pro with 30" for same money). Maybe in future when touch comes to iMac.
If it's built around the 9400m, then it is possible, even to 30". Whether it occurs or not is just guesswork.
28" MAN! thats a crazy..
24" is perfect size for desktop and with 28" going to get blind very soon bet you folks....... eyes will die before we reach to 30's lol
and imac will not releasing any soon.. will be after March/April and thats not even 100% sure... or may be when snow leopard will release.
Apple will not be doing any macworld but they have something better ideas in their mind and thats all secret so.. hold tight and enjoy what you can get and all the mac family is in great shape.
There will be no 28" iMac. There is no point. It would have the same resolution as the 24" iMac. If there is to be a larger iMac, and I believe that there will be, it will be 30" and 2650x1600.
The only 28" "rumors" have been absolute "What I wish Apple would release" comments. I haven't heard of any hard evidence at all about a 28".

I don't get all these predictions about an update >1 year after the last update. Although I will start to look at those dates if we don't see more iMac rumors.
Lg makes the LCDs for apple yes? LG doesn't make a 28" but they do make 24" and 30"... so my guess is the new iMacs would be 30" not 28"
