iMac 3.2Ghz 8GB Ram or iMac 3.6Ghz 4GB Ram

Hi,
I like everyone else am putting purchases on hold until next week.
I would like to get the $1499 iMac but should I spend the $200 extra on Apple Ram and get 8GB with the 3.2 Ghz or should I get the faster processer?
This computer will be used for Word, Internet, iTunes and iPhoto.
I would like this computer to last for the next 6 years

Forget the RAM, that stuff is cheap and easy to upgrade later. You only need 2x2GB sticks and they're much less than what Apple charge.

Up the processor because you can't change that later. That being said you won't notice much of a difference at all if those things are all you're going to be doing. A Mac mini would cope with that without breaking a sweat. Hell, a 4 year old MacBook would do that easy.

I seem to remember reading a thread about how the "stock" computers where better from the yellow tint issue perspective.
I don't want a dud.
This computer is (finally) replacing an dinosaur 867 Quicksilver from 2001
Do you have any other advice?

Get the 3.6GHz. The fact of it being an i5 will help you a LOT in single threaded tasks, as it has Turbo Boost. And about screen yellowing, you see lots of posts in the forums because people post problems. It's not a reason to prevent you from getting one. Buy it, test it on the dedicated thread for yellowing, if you have any, call Apple and request a replacement, plain simple

I bought the 3.2ghz and 8gb ram version and it flies so maybe you could save yourself a bit of money there. I wouldn't do lime the yellow screen tests unless you actually notice a colour difference because otherwise you may just start imagining the yellow.
