Greetings - I'm using my iMac 4k for WFH and I've had an annoying issue that is more annoying now that I'm using the iMac on the daily. A graphic flicker that happens when I'm doing something graphically intense like using VMWare Fusion, Xcode or Hangouts Chat meetings. It's intermittent but very annoying. I have a Dell 4k monitor hooked up externally via TB2 and it happens on that monitor as well. I also had a 1080p monitor hooked up - same issue!

I also installed a fresh copy of MacOS on a separate APFS volume with no luck. On a whim, I installed Windows 10 in Bootcamp and guess what... I've had no issues which makes me think this is a driver issue in MacOS.

Has anyone else had an issue like this? Am I just losing my mind being cooped up in the house?

Thoughts?!?

In my opinion, prepare for the GPU failure. Doesn't matter what external monitor You have - they are run by iMac GPU.
