I'm unlucky enough to have realized that my iMac stutters sometimes because it only has 1GB of RAM, how sad. I was wondering what type of RAM I can use to upgrade to? does it have to be 667MHz DDR2 or will another type suffice? all answers greatly appreciated <3

It will need to be DDR2 667. DDR2 800 would probably work too, but there is no sense in that as your computer will only use it at 667MHz.

well thank you for the quick response. good to know :D stinks that I can't use DDR3 or something faster, but I'll survive lol.

I was thinking about going from 2gb to 6gb but i wouldnt be able to do it until christmas time. i have ddr 800 mhz ram. i hope it helps speed things up
