iMac 9.2 Restore CD on Beige!

I dont have a OS9 cd and i need to reinstall, i dont want to buy retail, can i use a iMac or eMac 9.1 or 9.2 restore cd on my beige??? It will do a fresh install???

Yes, you can. That is the same OS 9 as any other. Clean install is up to you.

Well i would rather get OS9 and OSX, so what about this cd,

Will this load 9.2 and Jaguar??? I am planing on installing OSX with XPostfacto and dont know if this cd will workor cause probs with installation...If it wont then i will just get a plain OS9 cd..Thanks!

Jaguar should work natively (without XPostFacto) on a Beige (I'm assuming you mean Beige G3). If it's an older one then you will indeed need XPF, and it might not work without the "standard" OS X CDs.

Yea its a Gossomer, thanks for the info, sounds like i will just get get OS9 cds to get this thing running and use XPostfacto for Panther! =)
