I'm a newb here, I have had my 8.1 iMac since May last year. I recently purchased a set of Sony Bluetooth Stereo headphones for use with my iPhone which also had issues, but I resolved those. Has anyone experienced bad A2DP audio from they're iMac thats tried it out? It's very distorted playing upper frequency range tones from cymbals and guitars. My iPhone did the same thing, restarting it fixed it, no such luck from the iMac though.

A2DP is just a terrible system. It really doesn't have the bandwidth to send any sort of decent quality audio produced by the system.

I realize the limitations of it, but it sounds very good with my Phone and absolutely unlistenable with my iMac, so there is defiantly something going on.

This may have to do with the amount of interference provided by the increase of other electronic devices within the iMac versus the iPhone.

You can try disabling wifi, but if that doesn't work, nothing will.
