It used to be that if i typed when nothing was selected, my alert tone would sound. Now its very unsatisfyingly quiet. Around the same time, my ichat also stopped making sounds. I restarted and the ichat sounds came back but my alert tone is still gone. The alert tone is selected and the sound is turned up. Help please!
