imac an a external screen

quick question.
i have just got a netbook to accompany my imac.
i question is when i am at home is there a way to use the netbook as an external screen?

Why would you use 10" screen as an external?

why not? keep my itunes on that screen while i work, have a video playing on it, chat client. convenience basically
