IMAC and HDTV

I use IMAC snowleopard, Airport extreme and a Sony WIFI HDTV.
I want to rent films in Sweden and to see these on my HDTV.
We use Browser with streeming, flash or siverligth.
No film rentals via Itune in Sweden.
New AppleTV not available either.

Do I need a playstation for browsing and to get the film to HDTV--it will work.

Why cannot the appleTV handel streeming from Browser only Itune.
Well I can get me a PC but prefer not

Apple normally in the lead but not here---hope I am wrong

Please advice

If the TV has an HDMI in, you can also use miniDisplayPort to HDMI adapters, maybe your iMac even supports audio over miniDisplayPort.

That way, you can browse on your Mac and see it on the TV and can view the streamed video on the TV.

I don't know about the renting issue in Sverige though.

Btw, it is called an iMac and Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6.x).

Vi kan ikke bruke våre kredittkort desverre men jeg bruker gavekort tastet koden inn i min amerikanske konto
