iMac and MiniMac

I know this should be simple but...
I need to hook my mini to my imac to use as back up. But I also need to hook up an external drive that has all my video on it.

Use an ethernet cable between the systems and hook your drive up to whatever system needs to access the videos.

Firewire between the two Macs . . . done.
