iMac and x1 DVR?

Anyone use their iMac to watch cable TV? My initial research shows I can get Comcast's x1 DVR service which will allow me to watch cable channels via the iMac. Anyone care to share their experience?

You stream your shows over the internet, so you need an internet connection. You can watch via your browser, I think they still are also offering a free AppleTV with a 3 month deal.

I use their APP on my iPad (iOS) to view. Not a bad deal.... so far.

I decided to just buy a TV. Makes more sense for me at this time.
