I am sorry if this has been posted already, but I couldn't find it. Can the iMac be used as a monitor for a regular PC?

depends on what iMac you have... most macs do not have a video in port.

I just picked up a new 21.6 iMac. My question is if I can connect my PC to the iMac and use it as a monitor...I am guessing not

You should be able to connect the monitor from your PC to the iMac... you just need the appropriate cables. Does your PC monitor have a VGA or DVI connector on it?

Not so much. The post was asking if the iMac could be used as the monitor, not with a monitor.

The answer is no for the 21" iMacs, only the 27" support video in.

Is there a USB video input capture device folks like to use on the iMac? That would work, except for gaming.
