iMac ATI Radeon 4670 card

Hi,

I'm buying a 27" iMac. I plan on installing windows 7 and running some Windows games on it. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how the performance is on the ATI Radeon 256 MB card. All of the online reviews are for the 512 MB one. I'm not looking for super high performance or what not, but playability and graphics to look decent. Like for example, will Crysis be playable?

crysis will be playable if you turn it down to the lowest settings. It will look horrid on a 27" screen but "playable" I guess.

don't get the 27" one if you want to play games. or get the 512MB card at least

You'd be better off going with the 27 inch with 4850 than you would the 21 inch with 4670. To be quite honest, 1920x1080 is a pretty big resolution too.

If you're going to be getting an iMac JUST to game, and nothing else, then you're getting the iMac for the wrong reason.

None of the iMacs are suitable for serious gaming unfortunately. I would buy a PC if gaming was my thing.

Pay 300$ more and get the high-end iMac. It has twice as fast CPU plus a lot better GPU

I play Crysis on my i5 27" iMac with 4850 card with all settings on High in the original and Gamer settings in Warhead. The game looks and runs great! Get the 27" with 4850 if this is what you really want to do.
