As the title said, I think my iMac would come this week or early next week.

But I have some problem here, I´m going to use iMac on my room, along with another entertainment system.

I may want to connect iMac to my receiver, which the only digital input remains is ONE coaxial, since the other has been used for PS3 whatever. What cables would I need to do so? I don´t want to use computer speaker system because I already have excellent separated system. That would be a waste

Please describe any tools/cables/converter I would need?

And one more thing ... (no it´s not Macbook Air :D)
Can we switch audio output from iMac internal speaker to digital out without unplug the 3.5mm jack? And if my audio receiver switched off, would it automatically switched to internal speakers?

Thanks for the reply, floptical .. wow the converter is quite bulky yeah?

Hmm since I ran out of optical connection on my receiver, how about I split connection between iMac and my DVD player?

Would this get the job done?

I use this cable .. plugged into my iMac

And then I connect both end of iMac and DVD player to this:

And then add another optical from that splitter into receiver.

Maybe I can´t use BOTH dvd player and iMac at the same time, right? But will this do the job? Anyone has tried yet?
