Hi everyone, I have a 2009 27" iMac running High Sierra. Every time I enable Bluetooth and try to connect the Apple wireless keyboard or Magic Mouse, the device shows up under devices with address "00-00-00-00-00-00". Then when I click connect it automatically shows "Connection failed". There is also a dialogue box that shows sometimes that allows me to enter a 4-digit code (however this also results in automatic "Connection failed"). I am certain the keyboard and mouse work because I use them on my MacBook Pro without any issues.

So far I've tried:
Resetting PRAM
Resetting the Bluetooth module
Trying different OS Versions such as El Capitan and Sierra and High Sierra (All on clean installs)
Changing from HDD to SDD

I get the feeling this might be a hardware issue but am not too sure. Any one ever encounter this?

Thanks for your help!
