Dear all

My wife's iMac is playing up. All fine yesterday. Today the apple logo appears and then the screen goes blue and every so often the circle of lines counter things appears.

It will boot using the snow leopard disk so I used the disk utility to repair the disk and the permissions. Note I didn't see any error messages on the repair part.

I then rebooted but still the same issue. I am now restoring from time machine. Have I missed anything and is the HD on its way out?

It is a 2008 iMac running snow leopard
Thanks for any help

Josh

Hi

Just completed a time machine restore. Got the restore completed successfully message and now the iMac shows the apple symbol with the the spinning countdown clock but just stays there.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Josh
