iMAC BRICKED AFTER 10.10.2 UPDATE

AFTER software update my imac rebooted & this white circle with a white line through the middle appeared & it wouldnt go any further. i dont know whats going on, i am not happy
should i just erase & install a fresh copy of yosemite, can someone please help me.

yes i do, i put a SSD INTO MY 2011 IMAC,

Trim enabler under Yosemite causes this. To run Trim Enabler it disables kext signing, a security feature introduced with Yosemite. search on here for the fix, I opted to not run Trim Enabler and haven't seen any impact at all so far (but sorry I don't have the fix to hand).

Make sure you turn off Trim Enabler before resetting SMC, PRAM, or doing system updates. Otherwise, you will get the stop sign screen.
