Hi
I have an IMac which is around 18/12 old running 10.5.8 which normally works like a dream. A few days ago, I found I was unable to get online through my wireless router although there appeared to be good signal strength.
Contacted my broadband provider (TALKTALK) and ran through the usual stuff. Was unable to ping my router. Also tried using an ethernet cable but still no joy.
I can still connect wirelessly using the router using my iphone and this macbook I'm using at the moment. Went into network setting on both machines to compare and while the router appears in the macbook under the TCP/IP bit, the 'Router' bit is blank on the imac.
Anyone have any suggestions please? Bear in mind that my tech knowledge is limited, however I can follow clear instructions - I'm not that blonde!
Cheers.
