Hey all, first post.

I have an old imac from 2009 or 2010. It was in a fire and got smoke damaged but a licenced apple repair store did a bang up job and it has been running fine for 3 years since.

I have a bootcamp partition which has also been fine.

I tried to upgrade to high sierra last week but it didn't go well so restored from a time machine and all seemed fine.

Yesterday an android emulator that I run on the bootcamp partition started becoming unresponsive with odd graphical changes like black squares and blank spots. This has never happened before.

This morning my os screen looked like this and my windows partition wouldn't start. I was able to boot both to recovery with no problems and ran repair tool on all partitions with no issues found. Tried to reboot and same problem.

I assume the machine is just shagged but I can't afford another desktop for at least 3 years so it would be nice if there's a temp fix. Everything is backed up so not too worried there.

Cheers
Rob
