Imac Color Profile Reverts to default.

Hey guys, I have a strange issue I hope one of you can help me with.
My iMac was using a color profile called iMac Perfect that I found on this forum, and it looked, well, perfect. But now, my screen looks very warm, almost reddish, and I cant change my color profile back to Perfect. It will flash what the profile looks like, and then go back to default. Any ideas? I'd really like to not have to restore and lose all my data, on top of that, I have no access to an install DVD.

Are you using Shades or DarkAdapted?
The only way for me to choose another colorprofile and keep it is to quit DarkAdapted, otherwise it will act like you mention: It will flash what the profile looks like, and then go back to default
