So my imac i7 was suppose to come today and i checked the tracking saying it was damged and will be here by tomorrow. What would get me a better result? Calling apple to stop the shipment and send a new one or call fedex to ship it back?

Call FedEx, it's out of Apple's hands now. Ask them what does that mean and if it is damaged, then give Apple a call too

So I called fedex and the lady said she spoke with the shipper:

The box seem tampered with so they just opened it to inspect it, its not damaged. If there is a problem with it you can always let us know and have us pick it up for return.

Sounds fishy. Should I refuse it?

I would be very suspicious. It might not be 'damaged', but it might have been opened and something removed. I'd give Apple a call too.

They are not allowed to open it unless you ask them to do so which is not recommended.

Tell them to deliver it ASAP and check is it okay or not and has it been opened. If it's its not okay or it has been opened, give Apple a call and get yourself a replacement

Yes, I always trust FedEx to do a comprehensive check of my computer equipment.

Always refuse ANY shipment that appears damaged/tampered with. Call Apple.

so i got it yesterday and the fedex brown box looks fine. But I noticed 3 pieces of tape on the apple imac box. the center one which im sure is from apple and 2 pieces on left and right. Does apple do that? I believe my imac from 2 years ago only had a center piece of tape on the box.

Thats real weird man. I would talk to Apple's sales department and see what they think...

I suspect someone along the way opened the box and may have removed something. I'd call Apple and demand a quick replacement as it's obvious it has been tampered with.

I say call Apple. Calling FedEx will just give you a s**tstorm of dead ends and complicated solutions. Apple does have the best CS on earth, and they won't just hand a product over to FedEx and forfeit responsibility, get real.

Calling FedEx is a total waste of time in this situation. Apple should immediately replace the computer.
