Imac drivers in Vista

I've read the posts on the imac's video card (well, most of them). I know that it has a Mobility 2600xt, not a 2600 Pro. That leads me to my question: what drivers should I load. I think boot camp comes with some default ones, but if it really is an xt, wouldn't it perform better under xt drivers?

I find that the best results come from the latest Catalyst drivers from ATI using the Mobility 2600XT selection. You have to force the install, however.

When you install the drives you have to do the "have disk" dance and choose the Mobilty 2600XT drivers from the list. It will then say they are not compatible which you ignore.

I find the easiest and best way for me personally is to use Mobility Modder.

The other route is to open device manager and point it to the directory containing the inf files for the ATI reference drivers and "force" install it (e.g. click OK when it tells you the driver is not written for your device).

The advantage for me with Mobility Modder is that once installed you can just run the ATI installer as per normal and also install the Catalyst Control Center with no problems.

It works great for me.

Okay, I can do that. For a second I thought someone was going to tell me to dive deep into the system and do it one by one.

I wonder how far it overclocks? If I'm lucky, I might even get 5 fps on Crysis.

Look on YouTube - you should get a fair few more FPS than that on Crysis
