iMac Dropping Internet Connection After Waking

I have an iMac 7,1 (2007 Alu C2D 2.0 Ghz) running Snow Leopard (10.6.7) and occasionally when I wake my iMac from sleep the ethernet card as a self-assigned IP address and won't connect to the Internet. It's ridiculously annoying as I have to restart my computer or toggle DHCP on and off over and over again.

I also have Internet sharing on, so that my iPhone can use WiFi in my room.

Does anyone else have the same problem? Is this a problem with my ethernet card that I should take to the Apple center to get fixed up?
 
Can you take a look at console and see if there are any error messages right when it drops the connection? You can also try repairing permissions with Disk Utility and deleting plists in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

Sorry for being such a newb but how would I go about looking at the console?
 
I'm sorry for the late reply but the issue is so sporadic. It just occurred this morning.

Here is the log from the console from 12:00AM to the time I woke up and couldn't connect. I'll paste the pictures of the Network Settings before I connect to the internet and after as well.

The issue start happening the time I turned on the computer, ≈7:16AMish.

Deleting .plist for what? I think deleting .plist for everything is a bit... I mean wouldn't that pretty my destroy all the preferences I've saved?

It's slightly strange that this occurs sporadically only after I wake from sleep.

And I have repaired permissions many times as well. It stopped coming up after a while but it has finally returned.

Your network preferences will be reseted so those you have to reconfigure. Other settings should remain the same. This would not be the first time that a plist screws things up. I had a similar issue on my MBA but deleting those plists solved it for good.

Just wondering but how would I go about deleting plists for my Network Pref?

I've had this iMac for about four~five years and I still feel like a noob at this kind of stuff. I guess it's the negatives of rarely facing issues on a Mac.

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

Delete all AirPort and network related plists (I think there are 4).
 
Thanks, no issues so far but I'll bump this thread when the issue arises again.

Judging from the Google search results, I'm not the only one experiencing this. Too bad none of the other search results has a solution.

Apparently the "APSCourier" is having errors. Does anyone know what this is? And I'm sure there are more people out there having this issue. Help anybody? ><
