Hi:

I own an iMac (Early 2008) 20" which perfectly works with Mavericks (maybe not as well as when it came with Leopard, but well enough). Should I go to Yosemite?

Specs:
2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB

Thanks!

If an option, I would first install it on a separate partition or hard-drive and see how it runs. Or you could make a backup of your system (using time-machine or carbon copy cloner for instance) and if it doesn't run well for you, at least you have the option of reverting without taking up too much of your time :)

Hold off until at least 10.10.2

Your Mac will lag on animations heavily. 10.10 animations lag even on the newest Macs. :(
