I got a new imac a few months ago and it seems to b eatin up alot of my memory quickly.
Could someone tell me where i can check what programs are eatin up my memory or easy ways i could free up memory?

Its probably not the iMac that is eating your memory, its probably that 'special' tobacco.
 
It tends to do that :D. You should generally have at least 2 GB of ram in your mac minimum. Leopard (and Tiger) like to eat unused memory; that doesn't mean that they're using everything they consume, some might become "inactive." You know you have a memory problem when istat reports more than 0 page outs (when it uses the hard drive for extra memory).
