I can foresee an update to the imac design. I think it would look allot better if they removed the black band around the monitor, reduced the "chin" more, and replaced the black apple with a white one, making the whole unit Aluminium. It would then be similar to the cinema displays only with a slightly greater depth beneath the monitor. I've wondered why they haven't attempted to colour the eyesight cams lens a more neutral tone also, so thats something they could do to make it stand out less. Bring back matte screens too, this would see an increase in sales from people like me who avoided the extra glossy glass version.
It may happen before christmas, but if not sometime in the future, I think this is the inevitable evolution of the imac, eventually into something almost indistinguishable from the cinema display, but with a white apple or imac written on. After that will come the touch screen capabilities with the ability to draw and write on the monitor. In a few years, once speak recognition is developed and refined I think keyboards and typing will be a thing of the past. A matte screen makes it very comfortable to sit close enough to touch the screen with a stylo or finger.
If anyone can think of any new innovations post, I'm sure people from apple check forums for ideas and what customers are seeking.
God bless you Steve J and I wish you well and good health.
