well, whenever i plug my iphone into my computer my speakers make that noise that they make whenever a phone is around.

i really like my external speakers because they actually have bass, and i would like not to get rid of them.

any way of solving this short of putting my phone into airplane mode whenever i dock it?

Is it all the time it is docked or just intermittently?

Are the speakers plugged into the same power strip as the computer?

Try plugging the speakers into a different strip even if both strips run to the same outlet.

Also, is it a grounded outlet. Not all three prong outlets are actually correctly grounded.

they actually make the noise when my phone is in airplane mode, when it is streched as far away as possible, and when they are plugged into a different outlet.

looks like i may have to get rid of em
edit: in airplane mode it dies down dramatically, and only crackles in once every minute or so.

It could be the cell phone radiation causing this, regardless of being docked. My TV (display and speakers) go a little wacky whenever my phone is sending/receiving data.
