I've got an older iMac (2011) that's performed perfectly for years.
Just this morning I have a problem that's never come up before;
When I try copying files/folders onto my Firewire 4TB GDrive externals, the progress bar pops up, it tells me it's copying, and then nothing happens. It says "Estimating time remaining..." and nothing. It's a 1.42GB folder with 5 video clips in it. There's over 1TB of space on each of my drives, and I'm trying to copy this over because I need to clear off the startup disk as I've been getting prompts telling me it's nearly full.
I've tried restarting with no change, looked in several forums, and tried copying to a USB thumb drive, with the same result. Anybody have ideas on this?
