I bought an iMac on line 2011 model, restored os but now I hit FileVault by mistake it started encrypting for almost 3 days, so I found a YouTube video showing me how to use terminal to disable, now decrypting the files been two days, is there any other way to stop this so use my computer, I’m a novice at this. Any help is greatly appreciated

Are you just setting up the iMac for the first time?
Is there anything on it that's important, that you can't lose?

WHY I asked:
It might be easier to just force a shutdown.
Then boot to INTERNET recovery (command-OPTION-R) and start over completely by erasing the entire drive and re-installing the OS.

I'd steer clear of Filevault in the future.
I've never used it, and never will.
