Hello,
I'm new to macrumors because i have to ask this question...
I tried to use the firmware update tool for imac 4,1 to 5,1 from netkas.
The first time it worked.
I shutted down my iMac.
Pressed the power button until the light flashed and i heard a tone.
It started up.
I looked if the update worked in "about my mac"
But my firmware version is still IM41.0055.B08
I tried again,
and now i get the error "5570"
I have MacOS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
I can't siable SIP or anything because OS X 10.6.8 doesn't have recovery.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks...

I want to upgrade my CPU to a CORE 2 DUO but it doesn't make any sense if I don't update the firmware...

If I’m not mistaken, that tool is not meant for your machine. The netkas upgrade is for Mac Pros, you’re saying you tried it on an iMac?

Did you try posting your question here?
I don’t know if anyone on here has the experience you’re looking for. It doesn’t look like the site is updated very frequently, but maybe if you post your question there someone can answer?
