I own an iMac G5 iSight and now it is just acting plain wierd.

1) The computer completely freezes or goes black when I try to run graphical wigets like FuguMaze or other games.

2) When I open Mail, it keeps quitting unexpectedly. I accidently knocked the surge protector off with my foot and when I restarted my computer, Mail made me redo all my accounts! However it kept my saved messages.

3) The computer will not boot from CD's other than the factory disks that came with it.

4) TechTool Pro 4 will not update when I tell it to.

5) When I went to go look for a folder in my documents, a good part of the data was erased. I didn't erase anything when backing up to my external HD.

All in all, things are going very wierd here! I just reinstalled the operating system twice and it did not help, it just made it worse! Something is messy here! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I tried it. And things are as wierd as ever!! When I restarted, none of my applications would open, they just kept bouncing in the dock. I did a cold shutdown and pulled out the power plug to discharge it and now the apps seem to work. ugh!
