iMac freaks out under Premiere CS5

Does this app even work with the iMac?

I tested by importing mts files from my video camera.

On the second r third clip it always either kernel panics or the screen goes black and makes noise.

This is a 2009 i7 2.8 with 8gb RAM.

Just for kicks I tried same thing on my 2010 i3 iMac.

It freaks out also but is different. I get snow. Guess that's why it's called snow leopard.

Anyway I'm going to revert back to 10.6.4 and see what happens.

Premiere Pro CS5 works fine on my 2010 i7. My Canon HF S100 records MTS files too, and it imports them no problem. 10.6.4 is the current version of Snow Leopard, so were you on a beta of 10.6.5 or something? If so that might explain why you're having problems and I'm not.
