iMac G3 Internet Connection Problem

Okay, so today i bought an iMac G3 running OSX 10.2.8

It doesn't want to connect to the internet but its nothing to do with the ethernet cable, router or internet connection because i am on the internet connection of the same router now and i doubt the cable broke moving upstairs. Also i booted the G3 up in OS 9 and the internet connection worked so anyone know whats up?
