iMac G3 no power to hard drive issue

Ok so I have a strange one ! iMac G3 DV - hard drive doesn't get power - nothing to do with the software not seeing the hard drive - literally the hard drive is silent - tested with another working drive from another G3 and it did the same thing - put the working hard drive back into the working G3 now that one does the same thing - both iMac G3s not getting power to the hard drive ? Not seen this behaviour before - any ideas
