iMac G3 Stuck On MacOS 9.2

So I have an iMac G3 That I Was tinkering around with and happened to find a Mac OS 9.2 system folder. I tried to boot it but I got stuck on an error message saying “The system software on the startup disk only functions on original media, not if copied to another drive.” And I was loosing hope to get it back on its 10.4 partition. Any Help?
