I have just recently inherited an old globe imac. What would you do with it? I want to make some kind of central media hub for all my external hard drives (7 in total). I don't know the best way of going about that. So, what would you do with an ancient imac?

Im using mine as a media centre. only music and movies tho. It sits nicely in my TV cabinet I have both on my wireless network so can send files from one to ther easily. I have my iTunes library on the G4 and set it to share over the network for both computers.

As for the drives. You can access any drive plugged into your G4 from other Macs on the network but it will be alot slower than plugging them into your newer Mac.
