Hey everyone. My iMac is running 10.4.11, but it's presently the newest Mac running in the house that has my music collection on it. Apple's requirements all seem to be good (iTunes 9 + 10.4.11) with one exception; my iMac only has USB1.1. Now, typically I'd figure my goose was cooked, except that my 2nd Gen iPod Touch syncs up just fine, and it too "requires" USB2.0.

Just wondering if anyone in the field has a 5G Nano syncing off a USB1.1 port? The battery in my Touch is gone after only a year and a half, so I need to find a replacement for it (kind of pissed off too, because my first-gen 1Gb Nano is still running just fine, and it's three times the age of the Touch). I would keep using the old Nano, but I'm finding 1Gb of space to be much smaller than it used to be. :)

Apologies if this has been asked before. I couldn't find anything relevant in search, and Google was of little help.

It is probably alright to buy the nano 5G, if the touch 2G's minimum USB requirement is 2.0 and it worked on your iMac with USB 1.1, then it will probably work with the iMac with USB 1.1.
