iMac G4 --> iMac M4 conversion

This guy’s projects are fun, I’ve watched him before. But “this screen is gorgeous” is definitely something I would disagree with, unless he replaced the panel. This era of LCD is pretty awful by modern standards, especially when most of them have yellowed or developed other issues with age, and nowadays you can get better screens for less than $100.

I love this...Wish Apple's current iMac wasn't so extremely minimalist and had a touch of flair like this G4.

At least Apple brought back the colors, was worse when silver was the only option.

The funny thing to realize is today’s iMac is exactly what they would’ve gone with if it was possible back then, but instead they had to innovate to get around the limitations of that era’s technology.

I absolutely agree...I guess the G4 design was just so iconic and the display arm is still impressive to me.

I feel the current iMacs are too generic looking in a sense; also, I wish Apple would add a M4 Pro into one!

I'm fine with separate computer and display now. If I don't like one or the other I can swap it out!
